Aener Energia participates in the "Project Abrega" aid project to primary schools in Benin (Africa)


Within its Corporate Social Responsibility program, Aener Energia supports the "Project Abrega" Barabara Association. This project will develop activities for children from socio-century education, performing arts, sports, environment and also improvement activities and maintenance facilities at a school in Benin on the Gulf of Guinea and located in Western Africa.

The funds provided by Aener Energia will serve to organize a solidarity camp in the Education Centre located in Pierre Kandi Yerima, a city north of Benin. The ultimate goal of "Abrega Project" is to triple the number of students in the school, up to 70 children in 2011-2012.

In Benin, only 9.8% of young people have completed secondary education. 46% of children aged 5 to 14 work, not having a chance to go to school.

In its program of corporate social responsibility Aener Energia has made a financial contribution to the "Project Abrega" of the Barabara Association. The aim of this project is to develop activities for children of socio-educational, performing arts, sports, and environment as well as to improve facilities and maintenance in a school in Benin, in the gulf of Guinea situated in West Africa.

The funds and materials provided by Aener Energia will help to organize a solidarity camp in the Educational Centre "Pierre Yerima" located in Kandi, a town in Northern Benin. The ultimate goal of "Project Abrega" is to triple the number of students in school, up to 70 children in the course. Only 9,8 % of the young ones have a complete secondary education. The 46% of the children between 5 and 14 years work and they don’t have an opportunity to go to school.

Barabara is a cultural association formed by a multidisciplinary group of 34 people from different professional fields who share a great motivation and knowledge to develop together socio-educational and cultural exchange projects.
