Contract subscribers with more than 10 kW can reduce their electric bill up to 50% and eliminate the reactive energy fee

With the installation of automatic capacitor banks

· Stores, small shops, restaurants, banks, hospitals, shopping malls or public services suffer the increase on the price of 2009 for the use of reactive power
· A facility of 150m², with 5 or 6 employees can save up to 300 € on your monthly bill, which is more than 3.600 € per year
 · Automatic capacitor banks create a capacitive reactive power and annul the inductive one, which is punished
· The return on investment in the installation of equipment is between 3 and 12 months

Madrid, November 22, 2010. Contract subscribers with more than 10 kW can reduce up to 50% of the electric bill while completely eliminate the reactive energy fee by installing automatic capacitor banks.

Since January 2010, these subscribers have seen their electric bill has increased the surcharge that punishes the use of reactive power.

In 2009, in the electric bill, each user always contracted power over 15kW, paid a portion of its electricity consumption and a penalty for reactive power consumption, representing a portion of the total bill. For example: if a user was paying 400 Euros in total bill, 70 were due to reactive energy charges.

However in 2010, there was a strong increase in reactive power pricing (which can reach up to 140%), so that the user who paid  70 Euros for this concept could go to pay almost 170 Euros. That is, its electric bill could rise 100 Euros. since January.

Stores, shops, restaurants, banks, as well as medium and large industries, hospitals, utilities or malls etc. are some users who can benefit from the automatic capacitors banks.

Example in a small and medium company
Thus, a facility of about 150 square meters, with five or six employees on average, could save up to 300 € on your monthly bill, representing a saving of 3.600 € per year.

To develop their activities, these businesses have certain machinery such as air conditioning, refrigerators, motors or transformers to produce their work, which create electric and magnetic fields. It is in this process where inductive reactive energy consumed.

How to remove this charge and reduce electric bills
The fee for the use of this energy can be eliminated with the installation of automatic capacitor banks, which are capable to create a capacitive reactive power and annul the inductive one, which is punished. The investment in the installation of equipment is amortized over an average of 12 months, although it can fluctuate from 3 to 18 months.

Aener Energia, a leading manufacturer of automatic capacitor banks

There are many private and public companies, in all industries, who have already installed these batteries, capable of reducing the increments by using reactive power.
